"Mississippi" Alexander grew up on a farm in the segregated South, inspired by his grandfather's support and a simple question, “And then what happens?” Graduating with engineering degrees from Northwestern and a medical doctorate from UIC, he also holds multiple board certifications.
Nicknamed by college friends for being the only Black student from Mississippi, "Mississippi" now weaves his experiences in medicine, flying, golf, chess, and basketball into his stories. The COVID-19 shutdowns rekindled his passion for storytelling—so if you meet him at the 19th hole, be sure to ask, "And then what happened?"

Lisa Dobry, based in Chicago's NW suburbs, is a writer and mixed media artist with a heart that still belongs in Paris, where she once studied and busked the Blues. Creating from an intuitive space, she blends exploration with a seasoned yogi’s approach to the creative process. Known for her gift in communication, Lisa excels at connecting people, ideas, and communities. Her professional experience spans sales, business development, and project management.
